  • Why hair transplantation mainly performed in man & rarely in women?

  • It s really safe to remove large amount of hairs from diner area?


    Some less trained doctors may advise you requirement of less no. of hairs giving reason – harvest of more number of hairs may leave remaining donor area bald. This is not fact.

    Actually, normal density of hair in scalp is around 100 – 150 hairs / can2. Nobody can make out decrease in this density before you lose more than half among these number of hairs in permanent zone on your head may be around, taking out 3000 – 3500 hairs among these in absolutely safe and doesn’t cause any change in look of donor hair areas.

  • What is ideal age for hair transplantation?

  • If I need HT in two sessions, when you would advise 2nd session after 1st?

Growth of transplanted hairs takes 10-12 months to get highest density. So, we usually schedule 2nd session around a year after 1st session. You will be more confident to get 2nd session result of its session are visible.

  • Can we harvest hairs from other areas of body if I don’t have much hair on head or if I don’t want to take out hairs from head?


    Yes, in body hair transplant (BHT), we take hairs from beard, chest / Trunk or perineal area (around private body parts).

  • Which are other body areas where we can grow new natural hairs by HT?


    We are doing hair transplantation to moustache, beard, and eye brows apart from scalp to grow new natural hairs. We do also transplant hair into post burn alopecia / scar skin.
